Flash Cams
Cams with the
icon on our cam list pages are Flash cameras. You should already have the
Flash player installed (99% of all Windows computers have this player.) If
for some reason the cameras don't load, visit this link:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
to install the latest version of the Flash player on your computer. Once you have done this, you may need to restart your browser to see the cams.
Unreal Media Cams
To view the Unreal Media cams on these browsers, download the following program to your computer:
Run it to install the plugin. After you have completed the installation, reload the browser page to see the video.
NOTE: The resize function does not work with this plugin. If you want to see the camera larger, magnify the page using the browser's zoom feature, use fullscreen mode, or load the cam page in Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer on Windows
Active-X is required to view our cams. The page should prompt you to install the Active-X control automatically.
When you load a cam page, you should see a yellow bar appear at the top of the page. Click this bar and select "Install Active-X control" from the menu.
There are actually two different controls for the Unreal Media Player plug-in for Internet Explorer: one for version 4 and one for version 5. With Windows XP you can install both. Depending on which cam page you load, you may get prompted to install one or the other. Once we upgrade completely to version 5, the older plug-in will no longer be used for XP.
If you cannot get it to install automatically you will need to download and install the standalone Media Player.
Streaming Media Player Version 5
Installing this player will also install the Active-X control for Internet Explorer.
You cannot use this player to view the cams directly. You will still have to go to our Live Cams page and click on the links to the individual cams to view them.

Windows 98, 98SE, or ME
Windows 98, 98SE, and ME with Internet Explorer
Windows 98, 98SE and ME users can view our cams using Internet Explorer.
NOTE: Only the version 4 plug-in will work on Windows 98/98SE/ME machines. Our cam software automatically detects which operating system you have, and will deliver the correct plug-in to your computer. Once the plug-in is installed, you may need to refresh the page to see the video.
Windows 98, 98SE, and ME with FireFox
NOTE: While the C-Systems plug-in will install on Windows 9x machines, it will crash FireFox if you try to load a version 5 cam page. However you can view Mare Stare cams with FireFox on Windows 9x machines, because we automatically detect your operating system and deliver the correct plug-in to your computer.
Follow the instructions below to install the version 4 plug-in for FireFox:
Click on any one of our cam pages. When the page loads, you will see a bar at the top:
DO NOT click the "Install Missing Plugins" button. Click the red "X" to close the bar.
In the center of the page you will see the following message:

- Click the "Close" button to close the dialog.
- Click on the link in the center of the cam page once again.
In the Software Installation dialog, make sure that it says "Unreal Media Player 4.0."

- Click the "Install Now" button. The plug-in will be downloaded and installed on your computer.
Click OK to close the Installation Success box. You may also close the "Add-ons" dialog.
